Guilders work behind the scenes, but their results are a visible part of the worship at Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. This ministry is the housekeeping and beautification for the sanctuary and all items associated with worship. Set-up is completed on Saturdays for the Sunday services. The members prepare the table for communion by doing many different tasks such as laundering linens and towels, polishing brass and silver, washing communion vessels, changing frontals and hangings according to the church seasons; plus cleaning and preparing the church space for worship. We also prepare for baptisms, memorial services, weddings, confirmations, special feast days such as Christmas and Easter, create sets for the different themes in the Creation season, we sift palm frond ashes for Ash Wednesday, and we take care of a myriad of other jobs around the church.
If you are interested in this ministry, contact Sharon McKenzie at mckenziesharon2020@gmail.com.

Chalice Bearers aid in the distribution of Holy Communion during our services. This is a meaningful way to serve our church family and take part in one of the most sacred moments of our worship. If you feel called to serve in this way, please contact Deacon Don at dbe40dd@gmail.com

At GSP Grow, we plant seeds of faith rooted in love, where every child is welcomed, known, and free to grow. In a Christ-centered community, we nurture Children, Youth, and Families as they explore faith, deepen compassion and connection, and live out care for Earth, Migrant, and Social Justice through love and action.
This program offers groups every Sunday, along with a variety of monthly activities and events for Children, Youth, and the whole Family. Please visit our Children, Youth, and Families page for more information.

This group meets on Tuesday in the morning and the evening for 36 weeks, from late August into May, from 9:30 a.m. until noon, and from 5:30 to 8 for the program seminars. This is a multi-parish, multi-media and ecumenical group.
The curriculum has been totally revised this year, EfM’s 50th anniversary. The bare bones are the same: OT, NT, church history, theology, prayer, and reflection with all new books and sources.
If you are interested in this amazing program, please call the church office at Tel. (520) 327-6857.

In response to the struggles many of us are facing in the current political climate—and our desire to take action—we began GSP Faith in Action in February 2025. The group meets on the first and third Sundays of each month from 11:45-12:45 pm in the Bloom Room. We begin with a period of silence, followed by a partner check-in, a review of upcoming actions in the Tucson area, and reflections from people who participated in these actions over the previous weeks. In addition, we publish a weekly newsletter that highlights upcoming actions and sources of information, including spiritual support. At present, there are 64 people on our email list. Anyone who might be interested can contact Elizabeth at elizabethjaeger56@gmail.com

First Friday of each month
6:30 pm on Zoom
Love the theater? Curious about stage plays? Want to assume a new identity for an hour or two? If you answered, "yes!" then join us as a reader or an audience member. Scripts are available to all at these unrehearsed readings. Lively discussion may follow if time allows.
Warning: may be addictive causing increased patronage of live performances! All readings are coordinated by GSP member Nanalee Raphael, career professional in theater design, direction, and performance.
Interested? Call Ricky in the Church Office at (520) 327-6857 to deliver a message to Nanalee.

This is not a class or a meeting, but an informal get together over Zoom for one hour. Bring a drink and/or lunch and let’s talk. Let’s talk about how you are handling or not handling our present lives. Let’s talk about the theological conundrums that are rattling through your head in the midst of this strange world we are experiencing. Let’s talk about what you like about worship now and what you think we should change. Let’s talk about the sermon. Let’s talk about the lectionary readings. Let’s talk about that new Reformation. Visit GSP Today with Rector Steve for the Zoom link. See you Monday.

Over the course of 2025, 29 people participated as readers for the 10 o’clock GSP service. Many Sunday services now include a second Continuing Revelation of God reading, allowing for more participation
After hearing from several parishioners that they enjoyed the spontaneous readings that occurred during the Christmas Day service, the liturgy committee approved a shift in the way Prayers of the People will be read. Now, those who wish to participate in reading these prayers come up to the mic.
In May 2026, there was a meeting for all those interested to discuss what drew them to this ministry and tips for reading. We practiced in partners—receiving compliments and one suggestion for improvement. We also read with the mic in the sanctuary to assure that readers are easily heard by the congregation. Anyone who might be interested in this ministry can contact Elizabeth at elizabethjaeger56@gmail.com

The Grace St. Paul’s music program seeks to expand and achieve world domination. We think we’d do a better job than the current dominators. If you sing or play an instrument of any kind, we want to hear from you. Please contact Music Director Christina Jarvis at clj@delegation.org or talk to her before or after the 10am service to discuss ways to include you as works best for all devices and desires. Thanks and many blessings!

Most Thursdays at 5:00 pm
Services are held in the Chancel, in McBride Hall, or on Zoom, and are building blocks for the larger church to get together and share faith practices in smaller groups. The smaller venues provide an intimate space to read and reflect about our thoughts, our church, our communities, and our world.
Please visit our Spirit Now / Taize page for more info.
