Joseph’s Pantry & Cafe

Joseph’s Pantry is a food ministry that has been offered by Grace St. Paul’s to the public for over 20 years. People in our community who are unhoused or living on low income are able to come to us to receive a food box once per calendar month from the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. In addition to the monthly food boxess, we hand out a daily snack bag and any toiletries that we have. Guests are invited to sit inside during the pantry operating hours.

Pets are as important to us as people! This is why Joseph’s Pantry also carries a limited supply of dog and cat food. If you are in need of pet food, please ask if it is available.

Guests are able to sign up and take showers on our property. We have two showers and offer towels and toiletries to be used. Shower availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, but we do our best to make sure everyone who arrives before 11:30 a.m. gets a shower.

In addition to the services we offer, the one-to-one relationships we build and the respect and dignity given to each guest are the qualities that make Joseph’s Pantry a refuge for some of our most vulnerable friends.

When you are at Joseph's Cafe and Pantry or any part of Grace St. Paul's campus, please:

  • Do not come unter the influence of drugs or alcohol, and do not come while in possession of drugs or alcohol.

  • Refrain from cursing, derogatory speech, threats, violence. Use language that is considerate of the dignity of our community. Remember, you are on church property.

  • Help keep our property clean by not littering. If you see trash, pick it up and put it in a trash can.

Joseph’s Pantry runs on donations from our parishioners and the community, as well as some food assistance from the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. If you would like to donate to help this cause, please give to our church’s donation page or write a check to “Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church” and put “Joseph’s Pantry” in the memo. Please also know that any donation you make to GSP goes to keeping us open, which in turn, helps keep our ministries running.

Joseph’s Pantry also runs on volunteers! We have amazing people who dedicate many selfless hours to keeping our doors open. If you would like to volunteer with us, please inquire about opportunities by emailing the Social Services Leader, the Rev. Gary Cyr, at Gary.Cyr@grace-stpauls.org.

Joseph’s Pantry is currently open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9 a.m.-noon, at Grace St. Paul’s (2331 E. Adams St).
