Spirit Now / Taize
Thursdays at 5:00 pm
Services are held in the Chancel, in McBride Hall, or on Zoom, and are building blocks for the larger church to get together and share faith practices in smaller groups. The smaller venues provide an intimate space to read and reflect about our thoughts, our church, our communities, and our world.
• 1st Thursday of the month, meet in the Chancel – this service has a candle-lit altar and follows a traditional Taizé format, alternating readings and prayers with chants led by a cantor
• 2nd Thursday of the month, meet in McBride Hall – this service has more time for quiet and shared reflection, features a method to look for “Divine presence” and ends with an agape meal
• 3rd Thursday of the month, via Zoom – this service is a Zoom-only service that presents readings, prayers, artwork and music all supporting a central theme. Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/948146775
• 4th Thursday of the month, meet in McBride Hall – this is an in-person Communion service that presents the readings and prayers from the previous week’s Zoom-only service
